There will be an Ark La Tex Music Show on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sabine Theater. Come out and enjoy some great country and gospel singing.
Built in the 1940s as a "movie house" (one of Many's only two movie theaters for quite some time), the Sabine Theater is one of the few remaining original single-screen theaters in the area. Though only occasionally is a movie shown here, it still maintains its original look, just with all upgraded facilities. Read more...
The Sabine Parish Players are having two comedies: 27 Wagon's Full of Cotton and A Phoenix Too Frequent at the Sabine Parish Theater on August 14th at 7pm and August 15th at 2pm.

The Many Hart Airport recently finished a 400 ft. runway extension, which makes the current runway 4400 ft. Current project include installing runway lighting, rehabilitating the runway and construction of tee hangars.
The airport manager is Mr. Lee Woods and can be contacted at 318-256-5857.
Many's Hart Airport (owned and operated by the Town of Many) is seeing numerous upgrades and improvements.
"The Airport will play an integral role in the development of Sabine Parish, whether that be tourism or industrial," Many Mayor Ken Freeman proudly attests with regards to the recent and planned future improvements at Hart Airport.
Federal and state dollars have funded most of the recent improvements, including a $600,000 400 ft. runway extension in 2005, and most planned improvements, including an additional 600 ft. runway extension slated to be completed in 2012. This final extension will enable jets to land at Hart Airport, Many Mayor Ken Freeman explained. Prior to the 400 ft. extension in 2005, the airport's runway was 4,000 ft. After the 2012 extension, the runway will be 5,000 ft.
The town plans on building T-hangars in the near future at the airport to protect the plans, and recently put in a closed circuit camera system for additional protection. This improvement is planned in next year's budget.
"The funding we receive from the feds is based on airport usage," Mayor Freeman said, "so anything we can do to increase usage, we want to try to do."
Freeman noted that utilization of the airport has doubled since the major airport improvements began just five years ago.
In 2002, the town funded the construction of a terminal facility, featuring a lobby, pilot briefing and 24-hour aviation weather system.
Also to be funded federally will be complete rehabilitation of the airport's lighting system, which will cost a projected $475,000 and should begin this Fall and be complete by Spring 2008.
The federal and state government, through the Louisiana National Guard unit, are also helping the town by putting in several hundred thousand dollars of dirt work at the airport, cutting out a hill and filling in a low part on site.
And finally, a huge planned improvement of rebuilding the road into the airport will become necessary once the next runway extension is added, because the existing roadway will be in the new flight path, Freeman said.
