To all merchants, churches, and civic organizations
Plans are in high gear in Many for the second annual Sale on the Trail event scheduled May 7th and 8th.
Sale on the Trail is a regional event geared towards both promoting businesses along the El Camino Real (old San Antonio Trace, which extends from Natchitoches all the way to Crockett, Texas) and in attracting tourists and shoppers to the areas along the trail.
The "Sale on the Trail" event, planned and promoted by the El Camino Real Caddo Region Trail Partners, which includes the Town of Many and the Sabine Parish Tourist Commission, has been scheduled to promote tourism and acquaint participants with the beautiful highway so important to early history in Louisiana and Texas.
Land owners and businesses from Natchitoches, La. to Crockett, Texas will hold yard sales, flea markets, festivals, trade shows, sidewalk sales, etc. along this famous trail, providing a wonderful weekend of touring and shopping.
Many merchants will participate by hosting sidewalk sales and the like featuring a variety of great finds, unique specialty items, and one of kind antiques.
Those interested in participating in this second annual "Sale on the Trail" are encouraged to take advantage of a great chance to shop, sell, or see the sites on the remarkable El Camino Real. This will be an excellent time for all merchants and organizations to promote the Town of Many and Sabine parish.
The City of Many will be hosting several organizational meetings for this year's event. The next meeting will be Wednesday, February 24 at Many City Hall at noon. A lunchtime meal will be served, and all merchants and interested parties are welcome to attend.
